The future of regular –ir, -re verbs

For most verbs ending in -ir, the future tense is formed by taking off the infinitive and adding the future endings:

Tu finiras tes devoirs avant de regarder la télévision

You’ll finish your homework before watching television

Elle réussira ses examens

She’ll pass her exams

Je te vendrai ma voiture

I’ll sell you my car

Elle me rendra mon parapluie

She’ll give me back my umbrella
